Recently LEAF funded a $525,000 deal that was in danger of collapsing due to a late request for custom invoicing with detailed CPC (cost-per-copy) overages on each schedule and a single monthly payment amount for all equipment and maintenance, instead of separate line items.

Rather than leave the dealer to resolve this problem and most likely lose a funded deal (and a good customer), LEAF assured the dealer and his customer that we would find a solution.

Financing flexibility and speed can be hugely important to winning deals that hinge on an unusual structuring request from a customer.

In this case, a dealer prospect was close to making a deal in excess of $100,000. However, to commit to the deal, the customer required a modified rental agreement that provided the option to purchase at the end of the term for a particular dollar figure.

LEAF’s sales team and legal department worked with the dealer to quickly meet the customer’s request. A solution that worked for everyone involved ultimately required considerable out-of-the-box thinking and a special rate made possible by inventive use of LEAF’s PIP (Partners in Profit) dealer profit program.

In the end, the solution was a perfect fit. LEAF’s speed and creative thinking won the deal, satisfied the customer and gained the dealer’s business.

Our dealer had eight customers with individual projects of $150,000 each, $1.2 million in total. While the dealer had to immediately purchase the equipment to complete these projects, payment would not be for 60 to 90 days. In addition, the eight customers had other special billing requirements, making this project even more challenging.

LEAF was up to the challenge. Faced with a request to break down billing by department name and number, code number and payment for each unit – month after month – some finance companies would have refused, endangering an important contract for their dealer.
